Letter From The President:

I would first like to thank Sean Colvin for his year of leadership on the PBTA board. While Sean has served in various capacities for PBTA over years, this past year he distinguished himself by bringing fresh ideas and a new perspective to many of the issues facing our chapter.
As we begin 2010, I am pleased to let you know that Sean will continue on the board as our immediate past president and Bhart Sarin who served as our legislative chair and was instrumental in having our chapter achieve Chapter Challenge Status with NBTA will get a well deserved promotion moving to PBTA 1st Vice-President.
As I fill Sean’s very capable shoes as President, I will continue the progress our current board has made in the past year. We have some great programs planned for the coming year including an education day, I strongly encourage you to contact Rick Yarosz at ryarosz@hipitt.meyerjabara.com with topics you would like addressed in the coming year.
In January, I will represent our chapter at the NBTA Chapter Presidents Council meeting. Since I recently completed my term on the NBTA board of directors, I am up to speed on many of the issues the CPC has been working on and look forward to bringing back additional information that will benefit our chapter.
Our first meeting in 2010 is on Wednesday, February 17th so please mark your calendar now to attend this meeting.
As a reminder, January and February are “open enrollment” months. The requirement for Allied applicants to be paired with a Direct applicant is waived during this time.
Finally, anyone who has any travel-related information they want to publicize can submit it to Derek Pintado at derek.pintado@ihrco.com Derek will post it to the PBTA website.
